Bitcoin ETF Inflows Surge to $176M as BTC Surpasses $80K Mark

In a notable turnaround, US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced net inflows of approximately $176 million on Tuesday, following a two-day total of $286 million. This rebound comes after a challenging period where nearly $774 million was withdrawn from these funds last week. As Bitcoin (BTC) climbed back above the $80,000 mark, trading at around $80,818, the market appears to be regaining some momentum.

This resurgence in inflows is significant as it indicates a potential shift in investor sentiment, which had been cautious following substantial withdrawals earlier in October. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index, a measure of market sentiment, also reflected this change, rising to a neutral reading of 51 from 48. While this is still below the "Greed" threshold of 63, it suggests that investors are beginning to feel more optimistic about Bitcoin's future, especially after a year-to-date net inflow of approximately $850 million.

Looking ahead, market watchers will be keen to see if this trend continues, particularly as Ether (ETH) ETFs are experiencing significant outflows, totaling $1.32 billion in October alone. The contrasting performance of Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs could influence overall market dynamics, especially in the context of global cryptocurrency adoption. Investors should monitor these developments closely, as sustained inflows into Bitcoin ETFs could bolster its position as a leading asset in the cryptocurrency market, potentially impacting global currency and stock markets as well.
