Bitcoin ETFs Experience $90M Outflow Amid Price Drop Below $86K

In a notable turn of events, US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a substantial outflow of approximately $89.9 million on Monday, reversing a trend of inflows that had seen around $293 million enter these funds over the previous two trading sessions. This shift coincided with Bitcoin's price slipping below $86,000, leaving it approximately 32% below its all-time high of $126,080 reached on October 6, 2025.

This decline in Bitcoin's value and the subsequent outflow from ETFs highlight the volatility that continues to characterize the cryptocurrency market. The cumulative net inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs have decreased by 5.8%, dropping from $61.3 billion to $57.7 billion. Additionally, the performance of Ether ETFs mirrored this trend, with a reported $51 million in outflows, marking their fifth consecutive day of losses. Such fluctuations may signal a shift in investor sentiment, prompting concerns about the sustainability of recent bullish trends in the crypto space.

Looking ahead, market participants should monitor Bitcoin's price movements closely, particularly as it approaches the anniversary of its all-time high. The current bearish sentiment could lead to further volatility, affecting not only Bitcoin but also the broader cryptocurrency market. Investors will be keen to see if this trend continues or if a recovery is on the horizon, as the performance of ETFs can often serve as a barometer for overall market health.
