Bloomberg Integrates Onchain Stablecoin Data into Terminal for Financial Pros

Bloomberg has introduced a new stablecoin dashboard on its Terminal, offering financial professionals access to comprehensive onchain data. This innovative feature tracks stablecoin supply, issuance, and transaction activity, enhancing the analytical capabilities of the platform.

The dashboard, powered by Allium, focuses on stablecoins with a circulation of over $100 million, covering more than 98% of the market. Users can analyze stablecoins based on various metrics, including supply, mints, burns, transfer volume, and velocity.

Additionally, the dashboard allows users to break down stablecoin activity by blockchain network and peg type, such as fiat currencies and commodities. This integration places onchain data alongside Bloomberg's existing tools for fixed-income, foreign exchange, and money markets.

Bloomberg's Terminal is widely utilized by banks, asset managers, and other financial professionals for real-time market data and analytics. The platform has included Bitcoin pricing since 2014 and currently supports pricing and reference data for 50 cryptocurrencies.

This launch comes at a time when the stablecoin market capitalization has surpassed $306 billion, with Tether’s USDT dominating approximately 60% of the market, according to DeFiLlama data.
