FCMB Group Plc has informed the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and its shareholders about a potential delay in releasing its nine-month unaudited financial statements for the period ending September 30, 2026. The new deadline for publication is set for December 29, 2026.
The delay is attributed to an interim audit of First City Monument Bank Limited, FCMB's largest subsidiary. The results of this audit are expected to materially affect the Group's consolidated financial statements, prompting the extension.
Management has assured that the consolidated accounts will be submitted to the Exchange promptly after the audit review, ensuring compliance with the revised deadline.
In its earlier half-year results for 2026, FCMB Group reported a 99% year-on-year increase in profit before tax, reaching N157.3 billion. This growth was driven by significant increases in interest income and earning assets, showcasing the Group's robust financial performance.
Earlier in 2026, FCMB Group successfully raised N500 billion, meeting the Central Bank of Nigeria's capital requirements for an international banking license, positioning itself favorably within the evolving Nigerian banking sector.
