Riot Platforms, a prominent Bitcoin miner, has successfully repaid a $200 million credit facility obtained from Coinbase Credit. This repayment allows the company to release the collateral that was previously secured by its financial assets, including Bitcoin, USDC, and cash.
The repayment was confirmed in a recent filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, indicating that Riot completed the payment of the remaining principal and interest without incurring any early termination fees or penalties.
In addition to settling its credit obligations, Riot Platforms is actively expanding its data center operations. In August, the company secured a significant 20-year agreement to provide 191 megawatts of capacity from its Rockdale, Texas campus to Anthropic, a leading AI firm, valued at approximately $9 billion.
Riot's growth is reflected in its financial performance, with a reported revenue of $167.2 million for the first quarter of 2026, driven in part by its newly launched data center business, which contributed $33.2 million.
