Trump to Host Exclusive Memecoin Dinner Amid $4.7B Investor Losses

Former President Donald Trump is set to host a third exclusive dinner for his top memecoin holders on November 22 at his golf club in Washington, DC. This event comes on the heels of a report indicating that investors in his crypto ventures have collectively lost $4.7 billion.

The dinner, organized by the GetTrumpMemes website, will welcome the top 185 holders of the Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin, based on their holdings from September 30 to November 12. Previous events took place in May 2025 and April 2026, attracting significant media attention and criticism.

Despite the controversies surrounding these gatherings, the TRUMP token saw a price increase of about 9% following the dinner announcement. However, it has experienced significant volatility since its launch, peaking at $70 shortly after Trump's inauguration before plummeting below $20.

Critics, including Public Citizen co-president Robert Weissman, argue that these events represent unethical profiteering and potentially a "pay-to-play" scheme, where investors may gain undue access to presidential influence. The ethical implications of Trump's crypto ventures have also affected legislative discussions surrounding cryptocurrency regulation.
