About FIDSON HEALTHCARE PLC

Fidson Healthcare Plc, established in March 1995, began its journey as a local distributor of pharmaceutical products within Nigeria. The company quickly evolved, moving into the importation of its own branded medicines and subsequently establishing its first local manufacturing facility in July 2002. A significant milestone was achieved in March 2005 when Fidson became the first company in Sub-Saharan Africa to manufacture Antiretroviral (ARV) drugs. The company further solidified its presence by becoming a publicly quoted entity, listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 2008. Fidson has consistently pursued its goal to become a leading player in the pharmaceutical landscape of West Africa, building a reputation for quality and adhering to international standards, including World Health Organization Current Good Manufacturing Practice (WHO cGMP). Today, Fidson Healthcare Plc operates as a prominent pharmaceutical manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of a diverse range of quality healthcare products. The company's core business encompasses the manufacturing and sales of over 350 NAFDAC registered brands, which include Prescription Only Medicines (POMs) and Over-the-Counter (OTCs) products across various therapeutic classes such as anti-infectives, anti-malarials, central nervous system medications, gastrointestinal medicines, and vitamins. It also provides services like research, formulation and development, and contract manufacturing. Fidson serves the Nigerian market extensively through its 11 strategically located depots and is actively expanding its presence within the broader West African sub-region. The company structures its operations across three primary segments: Over-the-Counter, Ethical Products, and Consumer Healthcare.
