Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) originated in 1996 as Skypower Aviation Handling Company Limited, carved from the liquidated Nigeria Airways Limited as part of the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Aviation's reform efforts. The company underwent a significant transformation on December 23, 2009, when it was privatized and transferred to the Sifax Group following a competitive bidding process. Subsequently, SAHCO became a public liability company and was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on April 23, 2019, reflecting its evolution into a publicly traded entity focused on modern aviation support. SAHCO's core business revolves around providing a comprehensive suite of aviation ground handling services. These include essential operations such as passenger handling, cargo handling for diverse types and sizes of goods, and extensive ramp and airside operations. The company also offers specialized services like aviation security, baggage-cart services, ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, and ground and flight dispatch. Further diversifying its offerings, SAHCO operates a dedicated Training Academy, providing aviation courses, and delivers hospitality services.
