Within its Global Markets segment, the firm facilitates client dealings involving both cash and derivative financial instruments, engages in credit and interest rate products, and provides services such as equity intermediation, equity financing, clearing, settlement, and asset custody. This segment also encompasses products related to mortgages, foreign exchange, commodities, and equities. The Asset Management division is responsible for overseeing investments across a broad spectrum of asset classes, including stocks, bonds (fixed income), hedge funds, credit funds, private equity, real estate, foreign currencies, and raw materials (commodities). It also delivers tailored investment advisory services and makes direct investments in corporations, real estate ventures, and infrastructure projects. Finally, the Consumer & Wealth Management segment offers a full suite of wealth management and banking services. These encompass financial planning, investment portfolio management, deposit services, and various lending products. It further provides private banking services, issues unsecured personal loans, and manages savings and time deposit accounts. Established in 1869, the company maintains its primary corporate headquarters in New York, New York.
