CIF’s core mission involves mobilizing long-term institutional capital to finance transformative, revenue-generating infrastructure projects across Nigeria and the wider sub-Saharan Africa region. The fund's structure is designed to deliver consistent returns and measurable socio-economic impact through strategic investments. The fund's core business model focuses on making debt investments, primarily through senior loans, as well as investing in securities and securitized debt instruments of infrastructure companies, projects, or special purpose vehicles. CIF strategically targets investments in vital sectors such as transportation, real estate, utilities, social infrastructure (including health, education, and student accommodation), telecommunications infrastructure, and energy, including renewables.
