About GUARANTY TRUST HOLDING COMPANY PLC

Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO Plc) originated in 1990 with the establishment of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc as a limited liability company, commencing commercial banking operations in Nigeria in 1991. Founded by a group of young professionals, including Tayo Aderinokun and Fola Adeola, the institution quickly evolved, becoming a publicly traded company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1996. In July 2021, the company restructured into a financial holding company, GTCO Plc, to expand its offerings beyond traditional banking in response to regulatory changes and a vision to provide a broader spectrum of financial services. Today, GTCO Plc functions as a multinational financial services group headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with a mission to deliver accessible end-to-end financial solutions across Africa. Its core business encompasses retail and investment banking, pension management, asset management, and payment services. The company's diverse product portfolio includes current and savings accounts, various loan facilities, credit and debit cards, foreign currency products, and specialized services like private banking and custody. GTCO Plc operates an extensive network of subsidiaries, including Guaranty Trust Bank Limited in Nigeria and banking operations across Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, and the United Kingdom. Its non-banking subsidiaries, such as HabariPay for payments, GT Pensions for pension management, and GT Fund Managers for asset management, further diversify its reach within the financial services sector.
