LASACO Assurance PLC, initially incorporated as Lagos State Assurance Company Limited in December 1979, obtained its license as an insurer in July 1980 and began operations the following month. The company went public in 1991, with its shares subsequently listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Over time, it evolved into a composite insurance entity, acquiring a life insurance business license in 2007. Following a court sanction in 2014, the operations of its life business were integrated back into the parent company, solidifying its identity as a comprehensive provider of insurance and financial services. LASACO Assurance offers a wide array of insurance products and services, segmented into Non-Life and Life businesses.
