About NIGERIAN EXCHANGE GROUP PLC

Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group) originates from the Lagos Stock Exchange, founded on September 15, 1960, which officially began operations on August 25, 1961, with 19 securities listed for trading. It evolved into The Nigerian Stock Exchange in December 1977, expanding its reach with branches across major commercial cities. A pivotal transformation occurred in 2021 with its demutualization, converting from a member-owned, not-for-profit entity into a shareholder-owned, profit-making public limited company, the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc. This restructuring established NGX Group as an integrated market infrastructure championing the development of Africa's financial markets. NGX Group's core business model encompasses a wide array of financial services and market infrastructure offerings through its wholly-owned subsidiaries. These include Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), which provides platforms for raising capital and facilitating a secondary market for trading equities, fixed income, and derivatives; NGX Regulation Limited (NGX RegCo), responsible for promoting and enforcing fair principles of listing and trading; and NGX Real Estate Limited (NGX RelCo), which delivers property letting, real estate investment, and facility management services. The Group serves domestic, regional, and international investors and businesses, enabling capital formation and providing diverse regulated securities in the Nigerian and broader African financial markets. It offers various listing categories, including the Premium Board, Main Board, and Growth Board, catering to different company sizes and governance standards.
