Presco PLC is an integrated agro-industrial establishment with its origins tracing back to a World Bank-supported oil palm development scheme in Nigeria's former Bendel State during the 1970s. The company was formally incorporated in Nigeria on September 24, 1991, with NV Siat SA becoming involved around the same time and significantly contributing to its expansion and fully integrated business model. Headquartered in Benin City, Nigeria, Presco has evolved into a comprehensive operation that encompasses the cultivation of oil palms, palm oil milling, palm kernel processing, and vegetable oil refining. The core of Presco's business lies in its specialization in producing and processing a wide range of palm oil derivatives. Its product portfolio includes Special Palm Oil, Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDO), palm olein, palm stearin, palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD), crude and refined palm kernel oil (CPKO and RPKO), and palm kernel cake. The company is a key supplier of specialty fats and oils, primarily serving the Nigerian market, where it stands as a market leader. Beyond Nigeria, Presco maintains a business presence in Ghana. Its operations are supported by extensive plantation estates such as Obaretin, Ologbo, Cowan, and Ato Estates. Notable subsidiaries include Siat Nigeria Limited, which focuses on oil palm cultivation and crude palm oil extraction, and the Ghana Oil Palm Development Company Limited (GOPDC), also engaged in oil palm cultivation.
