CUTIX PLC, a prominent Nigerian manufacturing company, was founded in 1981 by Dr. Gilbert Obiajulu Uzodike, an electrical engineer with a vision to produce world-class electrical wires and cables locally to reduce import dependence. The company officially incorporated in November 1982 and commenced operations from a plant in Nnewi, Anambra State. By 1987, CUTIX PLC achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first indigenous company in Nigeria's South East to be listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, thereby gaining access to broader capital and enhanced visibility. Over decades, the company has evolved from producing basic electrical wires to a diversified portfolio, establishing itself as a key player in the industrial goods sector within Nigeria. The company's core business centers on the manufacturing and marketing of a comprehensive range of electrical, automobile, and telecommunication wires, cables, and related products. Its extensive product line includes PVC single, flexible, flat, and power cables; PVC insulated and sheathed house wiring cables; and robust industrial power cables, encompassing both armored and non-armored varieties. CUTIX PLC also specializes in solar cables, automotive cables, aluminum drop wires, various aluminum conductors, bare copper conductors for energy transmission, and bare stranded aluminum cables. These products serve critical sectors such as power, telecommunications, oil and gas, construction, and general manufacturing across Nigeria, where it maintains a nationwide distribution network.
