About EKOCORP PLC.

EKOCORP PLC began its journey in 1977 as Mercy Specialist Clinic, a foundational medical practice that quickly expanded its presence across the Lagos metropolis. The company transitioned into EKO Hospital in 1982, established by three pioneering medical professionals: Dr. Alex Eneli, Dr. Sunny Kuku, and Dr. Ameachi Obiora, whose surnames collectively inspired the hospital's name. This joint medical practice evolved into a Public Limited Company in 1991, initially registered as EKO Hospital Plc, before formally adopting the name EKOCORP PLC in 1994. The company's philosophy centers on delivering comprehensive medical care across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels within a multi-hospital framework. EKOCORP PLC specializes in operating medical care facilities and providing a wide array of healthcare services. Its core offerings include outpatient nursing, intensive care unit services, general medical care, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, radiology, and various surgical procedures. Beyond direct patient care, the group also engages in medical training services. The company primarily serves the Nigerian market, with its main hospital facilities located in key areas of Lagos, such as Ikeja and Surulere. EKOCORP caters to a diverse clientele, including private individuals, corporate entities, and health maintenance organizations, establishing itself as a significant healthcare provider in the region.
