About MEYER PLC.

MEYER PLC originates from Hagemeyer Nigeria PLC, a company founded in the early 1940s that initially produced Sigma paints and cosmetics. It was officially incorporated on May 20, 1960, and later transitioned into a public company in 1979, becoming listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in the same year. The company underwent a significant change in 1994 when Dunlop Nigeria PLC acquired it, leading to its rebranding as DN Meyer PLC. However, Dunlop Nigeria PLC divested its controlling shares in July 2003, and the company eventually changed its name to Meyer PLC in August 2016. During its evolution, Meyer PLC also expanded its scope beyond paints by acquiring Dunlop PLC's flooring adhesives business, thereby encompassing the production and marketing of adhesives, in addition to its paint offerings. MEYER PLC operates as a manufacturer and marketer of high-quality paints, coatings, adhesives, and flooring products, primarily serving residential, commercial, and industrial sectors across Nigeria. Its diverse product portfolio includes architectural and decorative paints, wood finishes, auto refinishes, industrial and marine coatings, road lining paints, roof coatings, tube coatings, high-performance coatings, and various adhesives. The company's business model encompasses both product manufacturing and the provision of painting services, where it applies paints to completed buildings in line with architectural designs. A key subsidiary, DNM Construction Limited, extends Meyer PLC's capabilities into the building and construction sector, including the rehabilitation of structures, thereby supporting an integrated approach to building solutions.
