About NESTLE NIGERIA PLC.

Nestlé Nigeria PLC began its journey in 1961 as Nestlé Products Nigeria Limited, initially focusing on the distribution and sale of imported Nestlé products. The company evolved, changing its name to Food Specialties Limited in 1969, and subsequently listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in 1979. Over the decades, its identity further developed, becoming Nestlé Foods Nigeria in 1991 and finally Nestlé Nigeria PLC in 2001. Headquartered in Lagos, the company operates as a significant subsidiary of the Swiss multinational Nestlé S.A., which holds a majority ownership stake. This foundational history established the company's presence and growth within the Nigerian market, transitioning from a sales and distribution entity to a major manufacturing and marketing force. The core business of Nestlé Nigeria PLC involves the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of a wide array of food and beverage products tailored for the Nigerian market and for export across Africa. Its extensive product portfolio includes breakfast cereals, baby food, food seasonings, hydrolyzed plant protein mixes, coffee, dairy products, confectionery, and bottled water. Key brands that are household names in Nigeria include Maggi for culinary seasonings, Milo and Nescafé in beverages, Cerelac and Golden Morn cereals, infant nutrition products such as SMA, NAN, and Lactogen, Nido fortified milk powder, and Nestlé Pure Life purified water. The company operates multiple manufacturing facilities located in Agbara and Flowergate in Ogun State, and Abaji in the Federal Capital Territory, complemented by a broad distribution network across Nigeria with seven branch offices.
